After searching far and near for good documentation regarding creating custom WordPress Plugins, I came across a book that will be published March 2011, Professional WordPress Plugin Development. I haven’t totally decided that this is the best resource for me yet (especially since I have other “fun” books that I want to buy with a limited budget!). Perhaps I can find other online resources that will help me figure out how to build good plugins.
I have a friend who recommended “Digging into WordPress” as a good all-around reference for people who are trying to customize themes. They have a PDF option with a sample chapter. This looks like a great reference.
